Granulated berry and plum aromas are slightly reduced and come with an animal note on this Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon blend. A flush, weighty palate is well balanced, while flavors of dark plum and cassis finish tannic and a bit rubbery.

    Wine Enthusiast

“Juicy, smooth and tangy with pure plum and racy raspberry, fresh and lively, balanced and certified Organic, quite charming.”

The name Spartico and the label design are derived from the word Esparto, or Esparto Grass. For centuries Esparto Grass has grown alongside Spain’s vineyards, providing various forms of life sustenance (woven tapestry, coverings, papers) for the grower families. Spartico wine celebrates the venerable union of terroir and man — a biodiversity between Esparto and Spaniards— that has lasted through the ages.

    Tastings.com

This wine has a layered and vibrant nose of red cranberry, red raspberry, heat, cooked cherries and raisins. In the mouth many of the same flavors are present: raisin pie, cooked cranberries, blueberry hints. The finish seems rather soft, but then Tempranillo’s typical tannins get a little grippy. It’s ready now but wants savory and even rich foods.
